If we are so unfortunate enough to have a majority of voters in each city actually approve the Consolidation Agreement (we have yet to see), we can all look forward to sporting a brand spanking new address. This will mean a number of impacts on residents, businesses, government entities and organizations now located in the Twin Cities.
Everybody will have a new "city line" in their address. People that live on a street or road that is duplicated on the other side of the river will see a new "street line" in their address. There will be GPS impacts. There will be 911 impacts. Letterhead and envelopes will need to updated. Signs changed.
The impact will be sweeping, dramatic, and expensive.
